Most rankings are opinions. The UIR (Upside Index Rating) is a 0-100 number for the chance a prospect becomes an NFL starter, learned from every college season PFF has graded since 2014 and what those players went on to do: production in every stat family, share of his team's output, strength of competition, experience and position. No mock drafts, no media rankings, no gut feel.

Beside it, the Upside Draft Projection says where he is likely to be picked. Both are tested on past classes they never saw, and the results are published on the methodology page.
